Can I play Roblox on my device?
You can almost certainly play Roblox. It runs on Windows PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, iPhone and iPad, Android phones and tablets, and both Xbox and PlayStation consoles. If your device is on that list, you are good to go. The main gaps are Linux, which has no official client, and older hardware that falls below the minimum specs.
Wherever you land, the same free browser extension that powers Roblox on Mac works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox on any desktop, so the roblox.com website gets the same upgrade whether you are on a PC, a Mac or a Chromebook.
Every device Roblox runs on
- Windows 10 and 11: the full desktop app, plus roblox.com in any browser.
- macOS: a native app for Intel and Apple silicon Macs, plus the browser.
- Chromebook: the Roblox app via Google Play, plus Chrome on ChromeOS.
- iPhone and iPad: the official app on the App Store.
- Android phones and tablets: the official app on Google Play.
- Xbox and PlayStation: download from the console store and sign in.
Where Roblox doesn't run
Two honest exceptions. Linux has no official Roblox client, so you need an unofficial community route like Sober to play there or on a Steam Deck. And very old hardware that can no longer update its operating system may drop below the minimum requirements Roblox sets. Everything else mainstream, from a budget phone to a current console, plays without trouble.
The one thing every device shares
No matter how you play, you end up on roblox.com to browse experiences, edit your avatar and check friends. The free BetterBLOX extension makes that website cleaner: a dark theme, server region and ping info, and 3D avatars right on profiles. On any desktop or laptop, it installs in Chrome, Edge or Firefox and travels with you between them.
