There is nothing to download for the extension
The free BetterBLOX browser extension installs straight from your browser's store and runs the same on macOS, Windows and ChromeOS. It re-themes roblox.com and adds the site tools; the desktop apps above handle launching the game.

Which Mac download do I need, Apple silicon or Intel?
Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. If it lists a "Chip" such as M1, M2, M3 or M4, take the Apple silicon build. If it lists an Intel "Processor", take the Intel build. Every Mac sold since late 2020 is Apple silicon. Both builds are on this page and both are free.
Are the Mac builds signed and notarised?
Yes. The BetterLauncher and BetterStrap disk images are signed with our Apple Developer ID, notarised by Apple and stapled, so macOS Gatekeeper opens them without a warning and without you having to right-click Open.
Why does Windows install through Overwolf?
Both Windows apps are published on the Overwolf platform, which handles the install and keeps them updated in the background. You get one signed installer, automatic updates and a single place to remove the app from.
Do I still need the browser extension?
They do different jobs. The desktop apps launch the Roblox client — and BetterStrap also tunes it; the free BetterBLOX extension re-themes roblox.com and adds site tools like the server region picker, 3D avatars and trade tools. Most people run both, and the extension works on macOS, Windows and ChromeOS alike.
Is any of this paid?
No. Every download on this page is free on both platforms. The free BetterLauncher and BetterStrap are supported by Overwolf ads; Premium ($2.99/month or $19.99/year) removes those and adds the full theming web app. It never gates a launch or tuning feature.
Install not going to plan?
Every release is announced in the Discord and the people who build BetterBLOX read it. Post what happened and you will usually have an answer before an email would have been opened.
