About BetterBLOX, the better Roblox project
BetterBLOX is a Better Roblox project with one goal: make everyday Roblox cleaner, faster and safer, without paywalling the parts that matter. It is a free browser extension plus a desktop launcher and the BetterStrap bootstrapper on Windows and macOS, built and maintained by one indie developer rather than a studio.
Who builds BetterBLOX
BetterBLOX is made by AlloryDante, an independent developer, together with everyone who reports bugs and asks for features. There is no marketing department here and no invented team. When something breaks, the person who wrote it is the person who fixes it.
That is the whole pitch. A small project can move quickly, listen to players directly, and keep the promises it makes about privacy and price. You can see the public work on GitHub, and the extension is published under the same verified publisher on all three official stores.
What we make
Three products under one brand, plus the theme app and Premium behind them. Each does one job well and links to the next.
BetterBLOX extension
Free · Chrome, Edge & Firefox
The original product. A browser extension that re-themes roblox.com and adds the tools it was always missing: server region and ping, last-seen alerts, a 3D avatar viewer, trade and item values.
Learn moreBetterLauncher
Free · Windows & macOS
A desktop app that runs on top of the official Roblox client: saved accounts you switch between in one click, a server browser with region and ping, an in-game playtime overlay you summon with a hotkey, and a playtime dashboard.
Learn moreBetterStrap
Free · Windows & macOS
A Roblox bootstrapper with a FastFlags editor, multi-instance launching, cosmetic mods and local playtime stats. Released on Windows and macOS, Apple silicon or Intel.
Learn moreBehind the products sits Premium, which helps fund the free tools, and the theme app that powers the look. None of it changes the rule that the useful features are free.
What we believe
A short list we actually hold ourselves to, not a wall of values.
The core stays free
Every functional tool in the extension is free: the dark theme, the region selector, the profile widgets. Premium ($2.99/mo, $19.99/yr) adds the full theming web app and removes the ads from BetterLauncher and BetterStrap, and never paywalls something you actually need to play.
Honest about platforms
The extension works in the browser, so it runs on Windows, Mac and Chromebook alike. BetterLauncher and BetterStrap are desktop apps: Windows 10 and 11, or macOS 11 and newer on Apple silicon or Intel. A Chromebook gets the extension only. We say so plainly rather than implying more.
The features that matter, done well
We would rather ship a handful of tools people use every day than pad a list with a hundred toggles nobody opens. Depth over a feature count.
Safe by default
BetterBLOX installs from the official stores, never asks for your Roblox password, and does not sell your data. The extension needs no login cookie at all; the desktop apps sign you in through Roblox’s own window, and pasting a .ROBLOSECURITY value is only there as an option you choose. The safety page walks through exactly how.
How the project grew
One extension turned into a family of tools, in this order.
-
The start
A browser extension
BetterBLOX began as a single Roblox extension for seeing when friends were last online and cleaning up the site. That extension is still the heart of the project.
-
Next
A full theme app
The theming and settings grew into their own web app at theme.betterroblox.com, so the look and the controls had room to breathe.
-
Then
The BetterLauncher
A Windows desktop app followed, adding one-click account switching, a server browser and a playtime dashboard on top of the official Roblox client.
-
2026
BetterStrap
The newest piece is a Roblox bootstrapper with a FastFlags editor, mods and local stats, and it runs on Windows and macOS where the older straps never did.
The numbers, honestly
Tens of thousands of players run BetterBLOX from the official Chrome, Edge and Firefox stores. The live total sits on the home page, pulled straight from the store listings. We would rather show the real count than round it up into a number we can't back up.
Built to be trusted
Free core, official stores, no Roblox password and no data selling. The safety page covers what we touch and what we never take, and support is one email away.
