PRIVACY POLICY
How BetterBLOX collects, uses, stores, handles, and shares data for the browser extension, betterroblox.com, and BetterBLOX API services.
Last updated: June 22, 2026
01 Scope
This policy applies to the BetterBLOX - Better Roblox Extension, the betterroblox.com website, and BetterBLOX API services at api.betterroblox.com.
BetterBLOX is not affiliated with Roblox Corporation, Google, YouTube, Microsoft, Mozilla, Overwolf, or Tebex. When you use those services, their own privacy policies also apply.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use BetterBLOX data for personalized ads, credit decisions, or resale to data brokers.
02 Prominent Extension Disclosure
The extension runs on Roblox pages to provide last-online, friend presence, game history, server region, server discovery, account switching, notification, reward, and theme features.
03 Data We Collect Or Process
Extension settings and local preferences
- Feature toggles, theme settings, environment settings, install/update flags, popup history, selector configuration, notification lists, auto-join lists, and crawl limits.
- Local caches such as datacenter lists, Roblox profile selectors, server browsing data, friend/presence data, account-switching data, and game history.
Roblox account and authentication data
- The extension may read public Roblox profile data in your browser, such as Roblox user ID, username, display name, avatar/headshot URLs, login status, and last auth check time, to display BetterBLOX features.
- When you sign in or use server-backed features, BetterBLOX may receive your public Roblox user ID and username so it can identify your BetterBLOX account, premium status, quests, rewards, or support request. Roblox user IDs are public identifiers, not passwords or Roblox security cookies.
- Roblox OAuth authorization codes and BetterBLOX access tokens may be used for optional account, premium, quest, and reward features.
- The extension can read your Roblox
.ROBLOSECURITYcookie from Roblox only for browser-side account switching. That cookie is stored in browser extension storage and used to set the active Roblox account in your browser. BetterBLOX API requests generated by account switching do not include this cookie, and BetterBLOX servers do not receive or store it.
Roblox friends, presence, sessions, and game activity
- The extension may read public Roblox friend and presence data in your browser, such as friend counts, friend-list changes, tracked users, presence status, online/offline state, website/game/studio state, place ID, root place ID, universe ID, game ID, and last location.
- Derived history such as last online time, game session duration, website/studio session duration, daily/total time, and recent game history.
- Some presence, server, and discovery data may be sent to BetterBLOX API only when needed to operate server-backed shared presence, server-region, server-browser, or discovery features.
Roblox server and discovery data
- Place IDs, universe IDs, server IDs, server player data returned by Roblox, server first-seen data, place version, datacenter ID, server IP address, queue position, and approximate client/server coordinates returned by Roblox join data.
- When you use authenticated discovery or reward features, BetterBLOX may associate submissions with your signed-in Roblox account ID to prevent abuse and credit the correct account.
Website data
- Website and API requests may include normal technical metadata such as IP address, request time, browser user-agent, URL path, status code, and referrer headers.
- betterroblox.com may load Google Analytics and Google-hosted fonts to understand visits to BetterBLOX website pages and render the website. This does not give BetterBLOX access to your Google account, Google searches, YouTube account, or activity on Google-owned services.
Payment, store, and external links
If you open Roblox, Chrome Web Store, Edge Add-ons, Firefox Add-ons, Overwolf, Tebex, GitHub, YouTube, or other third-party links from BetterBLOX, those services may collect data under their own policies.
04 How We Use Data
- Provide extension features you enable or use, including last-online display, friend presence, notifications, game history, server browser improvements, server regions, account switching, themes, quests, premium features, and rewards.
- Authenticate optional BetterBLOX accounts, validate premium licenses, maintain reward balances, prevent duplicate rewards, and prevent abuse.
- Operate discovery and server-region features by requesting Roblox game/server data and submitting necessary task results to BetterBLOX.
- Maintain, secure, debug, and improve BetterBLOX websites, APIs, and extension features.
- Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our terms.
05 Storage And Retention
Browser storage: extension settings, local caches, Roblox account-switching data, friend/presence/session history, notification lists, BetterBLOX tokens, and license keys are stored in browser extension storage or page local storage. They remain until you delete them, clear browser or extension data, remove a saved account, disable/reset features, or uninstall the extension.
Server storage: BetterBLOX may store
account records, signed-in public Roblox identifiers, usernames, license status, reward
balances, reward events, quest completion, active-user status, presence records,
discovery submissions, server-region data, and security
logs when needed for the features above. BetterBLOX servers do not receive or store
Roblox .ROBLOSECURITY cookies.
Retention: we keep server data only as long as needed to operate BetterBLOX, maintain security, resolve abuse, comply with law, or support account and reward history. Operational logs are kept for limited security and reliability needs unless a longer period is required for abuse prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
06 Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share or transfer data only as needed for the product, security, legal compliance, or services you choose to use.
- BetterBLOX API and infrastructure: processes extension, website, account, reward, license, presence, server, and discovery data.
- Roblox: receives Roblox API requests needed for account, friends, presence, sessions, thumbnails, games, server, and OAuth features.
- Google: Google may process website analytics and font requests from betterroblox.com. BetterBLOX does not receive, store, or sell Google activity, YouTube account activity, or general YouTube watch history.
- Hosting, database, security, payment, and delivery providers: process data for BetterBLOX operations under service-provider obligations.
- Legal and safety recipients: we may disclose data if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
07 Security And Handling
BetterBLOX uses HTTPS for requests to BetterBLOX, Roblox, Google, YouTube, and other remote services where those services support HTTPS.
Access to server-side data is limited to operational needs. No transmission or storage method is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable technical and organizational measures based on the type of data and feature.
BetterBLOX does not ask you to send Roblox .ROBLOSECURITY cookies to BetterBLOX support or API services. Authentication information, payment information,
and license keys are not publicly disclosed.
08 Your Choices
- You can turn many extension features on or off in BetterBLOX settings on Roblox.
- You can remove saved Roblox accounts from the BetterBLOX account UI and clear extension storage in your browser.
- You can uninstall the extension to stop extension collection and delete local extension data handled by your browser uninstall flow.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy help where required by applicable law.
09 Children And Updates
BetterBLOX is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to BetterBLOX, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
We may update this policy when our practices, features, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page and update the date above. For material changes, we may also provide notice in extension UI or release notes.
