What is BetterBLOX?
BetterBLOX is a free Roblox browser extension that re-themes roblox.com and adds the tools the site was missing. It is also a brand that covers three products: the extension, BetterStrap the bootstrapper, and BetterLauncher for Windows and Mac. One name, three ways to make Roblox nicer to use, so you can pick the piece that fits how you play.
Everything ties back to one idea: a better Roblox experience without the clutter. The extension is where most people start, and the desktop tools add more for players who want an in-game overlay, multiple accounts or FastFlags.
The three BetterBLOX products
Each product does a different job, and you can use any one on its own:
- 1 BetterBLOX, the browser extension. Free on Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Dark theme, server region picker, last-seen alerts, 3D avatars on profiles and trade helpers, all on roblox.com.
- 2 BetterStrap, the bootstrapper. Released for Windows and macOS. A Bloxstrap-style launcher that pulls the latest client, runs a FastFlags editor, launches multiple instances and keeps local playtime stats.
- 3 BetterLauncher, the desktop launcher. A desktop app with an in-game playtime overlay, one-click account switching, a live server browser and a playtime dashboard. Windows and macOS.
BetterBLOX vs BTRoblox: clearing up the name
A lot of people type "better roblox" into the store and get two different things. BTRoblox is a well-known older extension whose internal listing name reads "Better Roblox", so the two get mixed up in search. They are not the same product. BetterBLOX is a separate brand with a fuller retheme and the desktop tools above. Neither is affiliated with Roblox itself.
Is BetterBLOX free?
Yes. The extension and its core tools are free, and BetterStrap is a free download too. There is an optional Premium at $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year. One key buys the theming web app at theme.betterroblox.com, which is paywalled end to end, and drops the ad rail in the desktop apps. Everything else — including the avatar borders, which you unlock with playtime XP — is free. No feature in the extension or the launcher is locked behind it.
