How to uncap FPS in Roblox
To uncap FPS in Roblox, open the in-game settings and raise the Max Framerate option, which Roblox added so you can go well past the old 60 FPS cap without any extra tool. That built-in setting replaced the download people used to search for. If you want more than a plain uncap, FastFlags let you set the frame-rate target the client aims at and switch off the effects that cost you frames.
That reframe is the point of the Roblox FPS unlocker page from BetterBLOX: the uncap is already done in the client, so the tools focus on the tuning a raised cap alone does not give you, through named presets in BetterStrap on Windows and Mac.
The 60 FPS cap is gone
For a long time Roblox locked the client at 60 FPS, and the whole reason standalone unlockers existed was to remove that limit. Roblox then shipped a Max Framerate setting right in the graphics menu, letting you choose a much higher cap yourself. Once the cap moved into the client, the reason to download a separate unlocker went away. The old search stuck around out of habit, but the tool it points to is no longer needed for the basic uncap.
Set Max Framerate in the menu
Here is the whole native process. Open Roblox's settings, find Max Framerate under the graphics options, and set it as high as you want, up to the client's ceiling. Your PC and monitor decide how many of those frames you actually see, so a 144 Hz screen with a capable GPU can now push toward 144 or beyond where the game used to hard-stop at 60. No download, no .exe, no risk. This is the step that replaced rbxfpsunlocker for most players.
Going beyond a plain uncap
Lifting the cap uncorks frames, but a high number does not automatically feel smooth. Texture handling and rendering overhead can leave a "240 FPS" reading that still stutters. That is where FastFlags earn their keep: setting the frame-rate target and stripping the effects that cost you frames, so the experience is steady, not just numerically fast. BetterStrap bundles FPS presets for this, so you set a target without memorising flag names, and without anything that would touch gameplay or another player.
