How do you get dark mode on Roblox?
To get dark mode on Roblox, you have two options. Roblox added a built-in dark theme in account settings that darkens the main pages, but it skips parts of the site and still looks patchy. For a full dark mode across all of roblox.com, install a browser extension that re-themes every page cleanly, using only site CSS so it never touches the game itself.
That second route is what the free Roblox extension from BetterBLOX does. It repaints the whole website in a consistent dark theme, so the home page, profiles, the catalog and the group pages all match instead of half of them staying bright.
Roblox's built-in dark mode, and where it stops
The native toggle is easy to find: open Settings, look for the theme option, and pick Dark. It works for the pages Roblox has already updated. The problem is coverage. Roblox ships its dark styling gradually, so you end up with a dark home feed sitting next to a blinding white store panel or a settings sub-page that never got the memo. If your eyes want one consistent dark site, the built-in option only gets you part way.
A full-site dark theme with BetterBLOX
A browser extension can style pages the native toggle has not reached yet. BetterBLOX applies its own dark theme on top of roblox.com, covering the corners Roblox missed and cleaning up cluttered panels along the way. Because it only rewrites the site's appearance, nothing about how you log in or play changes. You get one dark look end to end, and you can turn it off any time from the extension’s settings page.
Is a dark-mode extension safe?
A theming extension only changes CSS, the styling layer of the web page. It does not read your password, does not paste any login cookie, and cannot reach into a running Roblox game. Install from the official Chrome, Edge or Firefox store, check that its permissions are limited to roblox.com, and a dark-mode extension is one of the lowest-risk add-ons you can run.
